Lesedi Mogoatlhe majored in Drama at the National School Of Arts, specialised in Directing The Narrative at City Varsity and finally received a MA in documentary filmmaking from Sussex University. She marks the beginning of her career when she travelled South Africa as the host of the popular SABC TV Show, ‘What’s Your Story?’. She soon shifted gears to work behind-the scenes where she felt more at home, and continued to build a passion for people and travel while working as a documentary director for over 15 years. Her keen interest for learning new ways to capture the complexities of the human condition led her to working with audio and she’s never looked back. In this medium she’s worked as a host for the Radio Workshop, a youth radio show produced for SAFM through the Children's Radio Foundation, where she also travelled the continent training audio storytelling for development. Today she continues to open up ways in which to deeply connect with people in her role as a podcast host and editor for Radio Workshop's flagship podcast, This Is Africa.
